Cold air is more dense, therefore it exerts less pressure on the inside of your ball, so when you bounce it, it doesn’t go as high. Warm air is less dense, there is more space between the molecules because they are agitating with thermal energy. This causes more pressure inside your ball, which makes it bounce better.
