How does ovulating work?

Can someone please explain the ovulating process to me in simple terms. And how to calculate it.

Answer #1

ovulating is what happens about a week before your period, it’s when your eggs begin to drop, if they do not have any contact with sprem at that time then you will start your period. ( that is as simple as I could put it lol )

Answer #2

Okay. Well ovulating is when you release an egg from your ovaries it then travels down your fallopian tubes and into your womb. If its not fertilised by sperm it leaves your body trough your period… A woman usually ovulates half way trough her cycle. Many women’s cycles last 28 days. As the first day of your period is the first day of your cycle you usually ovulate fourteen days after you start your period… But remember everybody’s cycle is different so you would have to work out when you ovulate by figuring out how long your cycle is…ie. how many days is it from when you start one period and get your next one… Xo:)
