How do you write a good musical bridge?

I’ve been playing bass for almost ten years and I still have trouble writing bridges for songs. I can write fun unique walking bass lines and guitar riffs but I have trouble bridging parts together. Do you know any formulas or helpful tricks to do this?

umm well if you stated the musical style or feel of the bridge it would have been a bit easier to answer but anyways, theres a lot you can do with the bridge, it coul dbe a simple build up, like a bomb has gone off and the band is just droning notes, simply a different riff. there are an infinite number of things you can do with the bridge, basicly, what do you want the bridge to feel like, work your way round building a riff to give that mood, get all the instruments in sync with the mood and riff and yay but you should eventually after the bridge go back to the previos riffs before the bridge so it all seems to come together.
