I’ve learned to love using it. I use the PALM side of the TREO for my calendar, phonebook, finances (PocketQuicken), passwords and other important data (SplashID), lots of games, Word and PDF document reader (DocsToGo) … in short, I just use it for my everyday work. Regular alarms from the TREO are essential to remind of the many things I need to do throughout a typical day.

Perhaps you can start with the built-in NotePad. You can scribble your own notes and reminders. For an alarm, tap the white space next to the date in the upper right of the screen (just below where it says “Unfiled” and you’ll see the “hidden” alarm setting for the NotePad. Set the time for the alarm, tap OK and you’re good to go!

My process of integrating the PALM TREO into my daily life began with searching for programs that can replace typical things that I do. I’ve lots of Post-It notes on my desk – a lot of those have been replaced by notes on the TREO. I take Word Documents with me on my Palm for reading. I like tracking my expenses so I put in PocketQuicken.
