How do you pull a wheelie on a bike for beginners?

This is a difficult question to answer but I’ll give it a go. I’ll describe it how I do it.

First roll along at a slow speed (But not too slow that your gonna fall off) Second using your left foot position the right the pedal so that if the crank was a clock face the right pedal would be at approximately 1-2 o’clock Third, with the pedal positioned correctly push down hard on the right pedal and pull back on the handle bars at the same time. One of two things will happen

1.) You’ll lift the front wheel off the the ground only a small bit. If this happens you need to pull back harder on the handlebars and push the pedal down harder or 2.) The front wheel will pull right up in the air, you’ll slip off the back of the bike and either fall flat on your back or keep upright and end up walking the bike on the rear wheel. If this happens you pushed too hard and pulled back too far.

Then it’s a matter of balancing too much force with not enough force and getting the balance just right. I hope that helps a little, It’s hard to explain in words and is easier when able to show you an example.

Oh and if are left handed I assume it would be easier to reverse the pedal example. For instance have the left pedal at 10-11 O’clock.

Oh, and when attempting stuff like this, always, wear a helmet. :) …I sound so lame saying that…
