How do you make eyeliner last longer?

I like to go a little heavy on the eye makeup but it has a tendency to smudge. I like to wear a little lipstick under my eyeshadow because it lasts longer like that. Problem is, my eye liner gets smudged or smeared everywhere. Any tips? (please no comments about expensive products, I’d prefer home remedies)

yeah, liguid eyeliner lasts long, but I really dont like using it.. so, I always take a lighter, and I burn the end of my eyeliner pencil, for like, 3 seconds..wait till its cool, then I put it on, and it works soo good and I lasts a long time, and mine never falls down under my eyes or anything.

liquid eyeliner is amazing and stays for long periods of time or if I use pencil I buy the double ended ones with the little smudger. if you apply the eyeliner thick and smudge a little it tends not to smudge through out the day =]

well what ya should do is put lip gloss on first…like a light pink…you can buy at claires. then do your eyeliner…but make it a waterproof kind…or else you can use waterproof mascara
