How do you know you have bronchitis?

I had strep throat last week, and I’ve been taking Keflex for 5 days not. I have to take it 3 times a day for 10 days. My throat was starting to feel better, but yesterday, my throat starting feeling like it was on fire, but I also have a really bad cough, sometimes with sputum/ sometimes without sputum. My throat feels like its closing and tight. My boyfriend wants me to go to the ER because my doctors don’t really do anything to help me. What should I do? Could what I described be bronchitis or something else? Please help!

It doesnt sound like bronchitis (from previous experience with bronchitis, of course I could be wrong). It sounds pretty serious whatever it is. Whenever you have issues with your throat closing you should go in immediately because if it closes up completely, well no oxygen = death pretty quickly. Go see a doctor. Whether its at the ER or whoever but go in asap.
