How do you get free advertising

A few options right here on FunAdvice:

3. Also, while we don’t allow links in answers or questions, you can edit your profile and include a link to your site…as long as you don’t promote it here, but participate honestly to help others, you’ll earn fans that will visit your profile & then click through.

Other ideas: Flyers (small cost, mostly your time) Tell people you know about the site Ask other bloggers to review it, if the cover your topic or industry Guest blogging (eg, post articles on other blogs about your area of expertise, which will increase exposure for your site and provide some direct traffic).
