How do you get a record label to discover you?

I’m trying to get noticed, I need some pointers on were the hell scouters are gonna be?

You can try to find where they will be, which can be extremely difficult.

Or you can make a demo and send it out. If they’re interested, they’ll contact you. That’s probably the easiest way to do it.

I don’t know how big bakersfield is but I know where I live you very rarely hear of scouters being out unless its a battle of the bands or something like that. My friend has a band and he just advertises anywhere he can, a social site, twitter, blackplanet a social site, sometimes he just goes to random sites and posts messages on message boards talking about his band, he makes flyers and passes them out all around town. If there are any events going on it town or surrounding towns, he trys to see if he can play at them. Most of the time he doesn’t get payed but you never know who might know who! Good luck!
