How do you backcomb your hair?

In the 80s my slightly punk friends used to do this:

Hang your head down so your hair falls downwards. Hold it by the ends and comb upwards with a curry comb (pretty vigorously). Spray with hairspray. Stay upside down and comb and spray some more.

Then when you stand up it’s what they called ‘back-combed’.

Is that the look you’re thinking of?

get a peice of your hair …preferably start from the crown…or the middle hold it up, get a comb and start brushing your hair backwards…but from about 10cms from the root to it do all around your hair like this, hold some of it away so you cn do under it too yoou can use spray and stuff to hold it in… or simple answer go to youtbube.com and type backcombing or something in…theres eerything you need to know there
