It is interesting how we all read the questions differently. I felt you were looking for a basic idea that you could use quickly and modify as needed. So here is the start of a basic tomato sauce for pasta. You can add hamburger, sauteed mushrooms, onions, whatever you like in a tomato sauce. I have even added hominy and cheese which I love.

I like to start with cans of tomato sauce and a can of diced tomatos. you can add a package or two of spaghetti sauce mix if you like or add italian herbs, garlic, onion, then salt and pepper to taste. I like to put in a little olive oil and a splash of red or white wine depending on what I have. From here you can add the extras. I will often brown mushroom, diced onions and a pound of beef together drain off the fat and add to the sauce. Top that off with some sliced olives then serve over spaghetti or egg noodles. Very good with garlic bread, a vegetable like green beans or corn, then a salad. Bingo a family favorite.

Also if you like pasta and are always in a hurry Knorr makes some very yummy sauce mixes for different kind of pastas. My kids love tortellini’s with the four cheese or tomato roma sauce. I personally like the pesto with rigatoni cold but then thats me. Hope this helps. :)

coat the bottom of the pot with cooking oil, let it get hot. chop garlic cloves and chopped onion. Brown them. Reduce heat and add cans of tomato sauce (depends on how many people you’re cooking for…you be the judge). My family uses boenless skinless chicken breasts. Slice them into desired size and let them simmer with the tomato sauce, onions, and garlic. Add a couple pinches of italian seasoning, salt, pepper. Let simmer for at least 2 hours (with chicken) w/o chicken let simmer for about a half hour.

boil some tomatoes in 200ml of water for each tomato(u’ll prob need 3) so 600ml and then crush them down and it turns into like a thick sauce.
