How do I tell my mom?

I have noticed my mom has been getting a little chunkier..I think she eats too much and she isnt excercising. She is not a healthy weight for her size. I thought maybe since she has been under major stress that the weight gain might be a cause of it, but im not sure. Even my grandma [[her mom]] told me to try to get her to excercise to loose some weight. How can I tell my mom to try to lose weight and get to a healthier weight, but in a nice way? I was planning on saying something like “im really concerned about your health and I thin you need to lose weight” Because idkk… Any ideas?

honestly, I think you would hurt your moms feelings if you did any of the things suggested. I think you should start tricking her into things at first. things like inviting her to go for a walk or hike, go exploring, swimming stuff like that. and if she always says no to those things I think you should tell her that you are concerned for her health, but dont make her weight the number one topic, cause than you just come off looking like a superficial kid embarresed to be around her cause her weight. I know cause I have been in her shoes.

You can say “Mom, girls in school is belonging my beauty to you and I’m starting to get jealous from you. Just imagine mom if you started to pay attention to your looks more than that as we girls do like we always have makeup to look good and go to the GYM etc. Hey Mom, how about you do that? You’d be a lot more sexier.

Try saying “Mom, you fat. It’s time you got off your bum and excerised.” lol jk

Really say something like. “Mom, I noticed your gaining a little weight and I’m concerned that if something is not done it could lead to problems in the future. Could you think about exercising a bit more?”
