How do I tell my best friend that I have feelings for him?

Hi, im 17 and I have this guy friend in which we are very close.. and I don’t want to ruin my friendship with him in telling him that I have strong feelings for him.. but I want to tell him but I don’t knw how..?

Has he given you a reason to believe he likes you back?If he has,you should ask him if he likes anyone,or get a friend too,maybe you can ask him if he’s ever had feelings for you and go from there?If he says no just play it cool,at least you still have a good friend,just make sure you talk about it like a plain convo. ,dont wanna make it akward.Hope it works out :)

If he asks you why say you’ve thought about what it would be like and asked him if he ever imagined it,that makes it sound kinda normal right?
