How do I take up painting as my career?

Hey, I am 21 years old guy and I’m from india.I am good at painting and people who look at my painting tell me that I should take up painting as my career.I just do painting of my own interest and would like to pursue further in painting and I want to become a professional painter.how do I do so?should I have to get some degree?if so please suggest me some university that provides degree courses in painting

Hey there .. I’m 21 as well and I faced the same problem, but in Graphic design. Anyways, I would suggest that you would finish univ. cause if things didn’t work out as you planned, you would have something to lean on, which is your degree. IF your really into painting, you can start by introducing your work online .. e.g. create a group on fun advice or face book that gathers our work. This is a good start I guess, and when it works try creating our own website, and in our website offer the kind of services. Show portfolios, and achievements. Always a good way! Hope I helped! P.s. Best painting in my point of view is graffiti, and a good combo is graffiti and graphic..
