how do I stop things installing?

im getting a ipod touch for christmas therefore I need itunes but to get itunes I need the quicktime player but when I try and download it and install it a bar comes up saying that something else is installing and I have to wait its finished but I dno wahh is installing already is there anyway I can find out or stop it ?

right click the task bar and select ‘start task manager’

that will tell you if anything else is running

if it is just right click and end task
