How do I / should I ask her out?

I really want to ask out this girl that I had a crush on in high school but I’m not sure how. I haven’t seen her in 2 1/2 years but she’s single again and I’ve been thinking about her lately. Should I just go ahead and ask her out or should I maybe invite her to a party or group thing first? If you’re a girl how do you think you’d respond to a guy that you had a ‘thing’ with asking you out?

I think you should ask her with a group first since you havent seen her in 2 1/2 years lol…if shes a great girl and you really like her than just go for it…if a guy had “thing” with asking me out id think it was cute (:
