How do I raise my cumilative gpa from a 2.7 way up ima junior ?

Im a junior with a 2.7 cumilative gpa an di need to raise it way up by my senior year. What is the higest possible you think it can reach and how do I get it there?

Answer #1

well you can get a 3.57 cumulative by graduation only by getting 4.0 gpa each semester which is highly unlikely. but what you should is aim for a 4.0 every semester cause then when you try for it you will get better grades. thats what I do. I have a GPA of 3.57. im in my second yr 4th semester and my GPAs have been high since I started to try to get a 4.0. closest I came to get a 4.0 was when I got a 3.83

Answer #2

If you’re in your junior year and your cumulative GPA is a 2.7, then you’ve completed at least 50% of your high school so far. IF you have already done the first quarter in your junior year, then you’ve done 9 quarters out of a total of 16.

Suppose in a quarter system, you get straight A’s the rest of your high school. In that scenario, you have 4 points per term left, with 8 or 9 terms (total 32 or 36 points) add that to your 21.6 or 24.3 points and you end up with let’s call it 33.6 points (the lower end). Thus in a quarter system, you end up with a final GPA of 3.35 at the low end.

IF you’re on a trimester system, then you’ve completed either 6 or 7 out of a total of 12 terms of grades.

So in a trimester system, the maximum you could pull it up with straight A’s would be also 3.35, depending on if you’re in the first grade period or not. If you’re in the second grade period under a quarter OR trimester system, your final GPA, assuming straight A’s from here on out, would only be ~3.1 ish.
