How do I prevent my boyfriend's slow msn replies from annoying me?

I have a wonderful boyfriend and this is going to sound so OTT and nitpicky but one of my biggest pet peeves is slow IM replies. I know it sounds ridiculous but I feel like by taking over 45 Minutes to reply back to me he’s being really rude and ignorant. What else is he doing online that is so important he’s too busy to talk to me? He always has some “reason” but I mean I do other things online but still I’m able to reply back to him promptly. Why is he unable to do this?

I know I’m being silly. Is there anyway I can prevent this from getting blown out of proportion?

u could tell him that you dont like his slow replys or you could try to find something else to do in the mean time while waiting for replys or you could try to turn the tables and make him wait for your replys so then he might feel like chatting more

my bfs the saame way! so one day I was like shaaane! :/ and he was like what? and I said what takes you so long to reply?? jeez hun.. I feeel like im waiting an hour for you to reply! and he was like oh sorry and ill fix that. then he started textin me faster. then he got slow so I just resend the messages so hell reply. lol :)
