How do I overcome my fear of certain animals?

How do I overcome my fear of certain animals ? Like spiders, moths and snakes. I tried to get use to spiders by relaxing and holding it, but then I got freaked out when it started to crawl us my arm. seriously is there any method to get rid of this fear?

Answer #1

Moths should not be a problem as the only way they could hurt you is to fly into your arm… The spiders and snakes will be harder as we are geneticaly programed to stay away because they can be dangerouse the thing to remember is that they will never attack you for no reason. They only bite something as big as a human in defence so don’t step on snakes and don’t try to grab spiders and they will never bother you.

Answer #2

Moths won’t hurt you xD Spiders & snakes, yeah sure might be a bit of a problem but think about it, their way more scared of you then you are of them. That make sense.? xDD Try not to get in their path & they won’t hurt you. Just think of them as another animal, like a dog or a cat. A dog or a cat woulden’t just attack you because they feel like it would they.? [Uhh well uhh unless they weren’t socialized O.o <– off task…] Try to think of snakes and spiders like that, plus you are a lot bigger then them. You can do a lot of damage as they can to you.

Answer #3

I have the same fear. well just think, they are so special and created so delicatly, they are beautiful. I had to disect one! and I am 10 years old

Answer #4

Go to Kruger national park for a weekend in the summer months. That should cure your fear of flying insects and spiders. As for snakes, I suggest just trying to avoid them.
