Im the same im 13 and am getting my tongue pierced this weekend hopefully, and my parents would kill me if they knew im just going to stay away from them for as long as I can and just say that my throats sore and not talk and after it stops swelling im getting a clear bar so they wont notice.im just afraid of when I go to the dentist:l But good luck :)))

Many of my friends have and they talk ridiculous for a good while. They end up taking it out soon after, and it is especially disgusting when they start playing with it constantly poking it out of their mouth and doing other not so sexy things with it. FYI you’ll get over it and find something else rebellious to turn to anyway. Spend that extra money on a massage or something. In the end, all it does is give you attention in a provocative way which is trashy, not classy.

Answer #3

Sorry, but how dumb do you think your parents are that they’ll not notice the fact that you’re suddenly not eating or talking around them? And after the swelling goes down, do you expect that they’ll simply never notice that you have a piece of metal in your mouth? Tongue piercings are immediately noticeable to anyone with functioning eyes, so if you plan on going ahead with getting one, forget this fiction that you’re going to be able to hide it from your parents. If you do it, go into with the understanding that you will have to deal with their reactions. You’re living in a fantasy world otherwise.

Answer #4

I’ve just got my tounge peirced and im the same as you im 13 and my mum didnt wantto to have it done but I kind off eat with mouth closed (always do anyway ) make sure yu haveyour own mouthwash to clean it and you can hide it away behind your teeth sometimes x

Answer #5

Be very careful on talking because I have been told its very noticable when I talk. I dont know if its true because I dont look at ppls mouth when they talk but whatever.

Answer #6

The swelling took about 2 weeks to go down for me. You will talk weird so keep the talking to a minimum. It will be hard but you can do it. Keep a secret stash of mouthwash in your room and you should be ok. Eat by yourself for the first time after the piercing to know how you’ll react later and stay away from spicy foods

Answer #7
