How do I make my bunny rabbit love me?

My rabbit is sort of spoiled but not overly, I play with her 1 or more hour(s) a day and she gets her favorite foods she gets fed twice a day. when I bring here out and let her run around my room, she won’t let me pick her up, and she runs away from me… she has a big dog cage she lives in and she isn’t out in the winter cold… what am I doing wrong?

Rabbits arent really loving creatures. They’re scared all the time no matter how long they’ve known you for. If you want an animal that loves you I suggest a puppy. Cats love people too, but they’re kind of loners for the most part.

you need to be around her 24/7 except when she sleeps obviously, when I had my bunny rabbit he was scared of me at first, but the more time I spent with him the more he came to love me and trust me .. start with playing with him a lot more often then he will come to trust you. :)

Well, don’t bug your bunny too much. Let it warm up to you, she’s probably not used to get picked up so once she realizes you’re nice and you won’t hurt her, she’ll trust you enough to let you pick her up! I hope this helped! -courtney maria

My cousin has a rabbit, and to get the rabbit used to being handled she used pick the rabbit out of his ‘home’ and then sit on the sofa and offer him food, usually fruit. So then he gets used to being handled, and you can stroke him while feeding to make him feel more comfortable.

Be careful not to lift him/her too high though, because they wriggle and can be dropped.

Rabbit’s are really playful, so when he’s running around the room, he’s just enjoying himself, and the freedom he has. So he’s enjoying playing, it’s not because he’s scared.

So yeah, it’s always good to have treats and stuff to feed him whilst he is being handled, and he’ll used to it eventually.
