How do I lose thiss weight?

Ok, so I am 5’1 and I weigh 188 lbs. yea I know totally not healthy. so I was wondering what kind of diets you would recommend whether it’s short term or long term. I really wanna do this no matter how long it takes. my goal is to lose 30 to 40 lbs. hope someone can help..thanks!

well, first off, weight loss does not happen fast it happens gradually so it can take a few months to loose that weight 1-2 pounds a week is healthy to aim for healthy eating and regular exercise is the only right way to loose weight anything else will either damage your health make you gain all the weight back and then some or do both and first you need to see a doctor and get your bmi (body mass index) calculated for your height and age he/she will tell you what weight range your in and how much you need to loose to be in the healthy weight range you should also talk to your doctor before you loose weight to find out if theres anything that might stop you

and to start loosing weight work towards exercising for at least 30 minutes a day and eat healthy and try to switch any soda drinks, fruit juice drinks and energy drinks with water because there all full of sugar

Here is what I am doing, what you want is a life style change not a diet, diets do not work as they only help decrease weight in the short term, we achieve our goal, then drop the diet hence the weight comes back on. So you need to exercise at least 30 minutes a day no less than 3x per week, make healthy dietary choices increasing you vegetable intake, while decreasing carbohydrates such as white breads and potatoes, choose grilled fish, chicken, or turkey, have a good healthy breakfast like whole grain toast with no sugar added peanut butter, oatmeal, fruit, or low fat yogurt, drink lots of water, eat a mid morning snack such as a banana or handful of almonds, have a healthy lunch such as a salad with grilled chicken strips (oil and vinegar for the dressing) a mid afternoon snack like vegetables and low fat dip, an apple or again a handful of nuts, grilled fish or chicken for supper with vegetables or a whole grain rice, switch from regular pastas to whole wheat or whole grain same with bread. Stay away from fast food and junky snacks like potato chips substituting hotair popcorn instead. Sound hard? Well it is, but if you want to lose weight and be healthy this is what needs to be done, but give yourself a free day (Saturday or Sunday or a day when you are going somewhere or doing something special like celebrating a birthday)where you can have whatever you want so long as you do it in moderation. I’m like 5 ft 2 in and I can’t loose weight I weight 175 as of now! yeah I’d say watch waht you eat an drink a lot of h2o and exercise often.
