Your dog is only a puppy at 8 months old. Why did you expose her to an unneutored male while she was in heat? That was terribly irresponsible of you.

Get on the internet…you have a few weeks to learn what to do when she whelps…Get in contact with your Vet, so if things go south during whelping, you’ll have someone competant to help you out.

Yes she probably is pregnant but a little to young. How old is your father’s dog? If your puppy is pregnant then there is a slight possibility that the puppies that she has will be premature or smaller then usual as your puppy was already to young to breed. The average age for breeding a dog is 2 years old up to the age of 7 or 8 years old. I have a Jack Russell that is 7 years old and 7 weeks pregnant. I suggest that you contact your vet straight away and ask for advice on how to deal with a pregnant dog.
