How do I know he's serious?

Ok so I met this guy and he’s really amazing and everthing was going great after about 2 weeks.Then one night, we were on the phone and he asked me had I told anyone we were tlking and I said yeah,why?and he said hed talk to his ex the night before and shed asked about us and I asked whatd he say and basically he said he gave her a round about answer.Naturally I was like wtf and I told him if wanted to be with her then be with her and dont waste my time.But he said he didnt and he wanted to continue talking to me.So since then he’s been doing extra stuff and being really great I guess to make up for my skepticality but I cant help but think that he still likes her…whats going on?

He still has feelings for her . I was just in this same situation exactly . I hate to be the bearer of bad news . Im sure his feelings for you are real, but hes still attached to her in some way . Trust me on this one .
