The days of sending in a demo disk and getting a record deal are long gone. To get noticed, you have to play lots of gigs and build up a resume. Obviously if you’re any good, your youtube videos will start getting lots of hits. Set up a band web page for the primary purpose of promoting your band. Offer free downloads of all your music, but sell the merchandise and CDs. Record in a real studio so your stuff sounds great. Get a professional to help you put together videos. All this is expensive of course, so you’re going to have to have a lot of faith in your band and the members are going to have to contribute not only talent and time, but also cash to make it happen. Remember, there are tons of great bands out there that never go anywhere because competition is fierce.

Make it very easy for people to contact you and respond when they do (until you hopefully get overwhelmed and just can’t anymore) You want people to get hooked on your songs and your style, and the best way for that to happen is if they hear you over and over.

All the local metal bands around here play at a place called Rocko’s. They don’t have to pay or anything they just have to sell tickets around schooland things. I don’t know about where you are.

Getting signed to a record company is hard. especialy if you are a band. Because everyone has to be on point, from the lead singer, drummer, guitar etc.

  1. Practice. Practice. Practice. Practice makes perfect. If you wanna be the best, or well known. Practice.
  2. Perform in school talent shows, concerts, or talent shows.
  3. Use a phone, or any recording device to record yourself and see how you all actually sound, or ask friends to ask you how you sound. 4)just by performing on talents shows you guys can be notice, make a demo cd by gong to a studio and pay them to record a cd for you guys as a demo. but before you make a demo in the studio make sure you guys are good.
