How do I improve my vocals?(with clip)

Hi, all Iam a guitar player for about 3 years now and past 3 1/2 months been trying to sing, I have a clip on Icomp of my latest attempt ( Iam I too old to try and start Iam 18)

singing and playing is something Id like to do for myself,friends, and maybe shows IF I GET good enough of course lol

Iam hoping to find some good tips advice etc.. here

I know I should get a teacher but cash is a bit tight right now.

I know but I stated in there everything yert you answered with a pointless answer was my point I said I dont have enough for as teacher at the moment so why even bother answering what I’ve already said?
