How do I help my meth-addicted ex boyfriend?

My ex used to do a lot of crystal meth. He moved and we broke up because he couldn’t handle not seeing me. He told me he wasn’t using anymore, but he was lying. He stopped talking to me for about 4 months and about a month ago I got a call from him and he was in jail. he got out a few days later and we started back talking. he told me everything and he told me that he had been using meth daily for about 2 months. he promised me he stopped and he promised he didn’t want it anymore. I know meth is one of the most powerful and addictive drugs. that’s why I didn’t believe him and I started ignoring his calls because I couldn’t handle it. I love him so much, but I just don’t know how to help him. How can I be 2 hours away from him and help him?

You cant. He needs professional help.

As much as you may love him, you’re not going to be able to help him on your own. He needs professional help and to check into some sort of program. Best thing for you to do is to encourage him to do that.
