How do I get this girl to like me so I can ask her out?

I am in 10th grade, and I really like this girl. I am looked at as the geek so she probably does not pay attention to me. How can I get her to like me, then how/when do I ask her out? I go to a small school, so she definitly knows me, but probably does not think much of me. How do I talk to her, how do I impress her, how do I get her to talk to me. More info on me: I am very clumsy, and awkward. I am not good at talking to people. Please, right now all I can do is walk by her house, which I find myself doing all the time even though it is out of my way!

To answer your very first question, I don’t think you can make a girl like you. I think she ether likes you or she doesn’t. Also a tip, if she notices you always walking past her house, she might think you are a tad bit creepy =\
