how do I get started?

howdy :) im 13. I really want to be a singer when I get a little older. im not bad. I’ve been practicing a lot. what would be a good age to actually start? the only bad thing is I cant sing in front of people…how do I get over this fear? and how do I get myself out there and later get on the radio. thank you!

I started really young! I’m 14. I still sing. But I’m not in a band! But I’m starting one next year when I’m a freshman! I would say… Start by writing something of your own, then sing it for your parents/guardians. and then to your friends! That’s what I did!! And last year I sang for my whole school. And for my 8th grade promotion I’m singing by myself in front of my 8th grade class and friends and parents. =]] Good luck! Hope I helped.
