How do I get rid of an infected hair?

I was shaving ‘down there’ & I got an infected hair. How do I get rid of it?

Answer #1

Waxing is so much better =] it hurts when you get it but its so0o0o0 worth it. For the infected hair, First, make sure the area around the ingrown hair is clean, wash or bathe, so you won’t re-infect the area. Bacteria is always present on your skin. Second, use a clean wash cloth, and soak it in almost hot water. Apply the wash cloth to the area for a few minutes to moisten the skin and loosen the ingrown hair. Heat and moisture cause the hair to rise to the surface. Check to see if the hair is visible. If not, repeat using the wash cloth until the hair is free. using tweezers or a pin lift the trapped hair out of the follicle. You can also pluck the hair out gripping it close to the skin. Fourth, dab the area with hydrogen peroxide to prevent infection. If the pus oozes out, clean with a tissue, and apply hydrogen peroxide.

what the hell? never heard of an infected hair. thats a new one. but…yea, get that checked out, family doc or something. better safe than sorry. and do not Do Not DONT shave, you know, down there…unless you wanna that is

Answer #3

you cant get an infected hair you can get an infection form a vut but a hair canot become infected I assume you mean there is now a small bump, or an ingrown hair ingrown hairs are common, they are a bit painful, but it has nothing to do with infection to stop any shaving rashes, bumps and ingrown hairs shave with a razor with a few blades and shave with either shaving cream or conditioner in a warm shower is best and never shave with plain water, soap, shampoo, or just a razor

Answer #4

First of all DO NOT SHAVE DOWN THERE. You can prevent a major rash and itch all the time. It will fall off naturally as you get older.

Answer #5

yeah its ok to shave your pubes.
because there just gross and emberrasing. so just wait untill you can see the hair..and my doctor said to tweeze it and squeeze the red bump untill it is all cleaned out. then just let it heal. you really should only shave down there twice a week. so take care.
