How do I get my female cat to stop humping?

For the past month, our female cat, whom is under 1 years old, has begun humping my wife’s arms and legs, and she is starting to get irritated by it. What solutions are available that we could do that would be free and easy to do?

Is she spayed. If not thats all you can due. It isn’t free. In the mean time I quess you can try spraying her with water (squirt gun/spray bottle) every time she does it.

If she is spayed, the procedure could have been done wrong and may need to be “re-spayed”

She could also just be a dominant female and trying to show that she is dominant over your wife. If this is the case have your wife spary her with the water and firmly say “No”

Every time she does something bad shout “vilain cat” or “bad kitty” at her and give her a gentle knock on the head(it takes time for it to work but it works trust me),and when she does something good shout “good kitty” or something and stroke her or give her a treat but it has to be something she loves.

This is a new one on me…are you sure she’s humping? Even when they are mating the female simply squats…and they don’t use it as a posture for other cats…This is such non-normal behavior, I’d contact a cattery…since a person that breeds cats has probably seen most behaviors at one time or another…
