How do I get my curls to stick?

I love curls or waves too. I started curling my hair since I was 13. EVERYBODY asks me if I have naturally curly hair and I say no because I dont lol. I have straightish hair. I personally dont like the fat curling iron because it just gives me loose waves and I dont want that. Make a circle with your index finger and thumb and the hole size is the one I use lol. Sorry too lazy to go upstairs and look. I dont wash my hair if im going to curl it that day because the oils and extra product left over really helps my hair stay curly. I start by making two ponytails and doing one side at a time. Lets say I start on my right side first. I spilt the ponytail in half and put up the top half in a bun or just simply clip it out the way. top & bottom I take a small to medium amount of hair and start curling from the root of my scalp to the bottom tip of my strand. All in one direction or you can possibly mix it up this way and that. Keep doing that and coat evenly with hairspray. Then do the top half. Pay extra attention to the very top because thats the finishing touch and you dont want to look like cruela devile. Then hairspray that side. You can now go to your left side and repeat. When your finished AND THIS IS OPTIONAL. You can gently scrunch up your hair with curl defining cream. To make your hair smell good you can lightly spray your favorite perfume on you HAIR not scalp. And just whoosh your hair around. Goodluck :)
