How Do I Get My CPU Temp Lower?

I was wandering if my CPU Temp was normal. It’s running at 135 degrees Fahrenheit. This a brand new laptop and this temperature seems a bit iffy for me.

Answer #1

Okay, it turned out to be a wiring problem. I sent out the laptop to have it fixed. Guess I’m back at the desktop for a while.

Answer #2

thats 93c mate… my pc would have shut down at 68c which is 90.4*f

is this temp at idle, load or stressed?

idle = just messing on desktop

load = during a game

stressed = 3dmark06 or the like

cus im a pc gamer and I need to stress my rig to see if its stable after a overclock…

even after reaching cpu speeds of 4.1g my temp didnt get that hot…

a aftermarket heatsink/fan and some good goop/thermal paste like, I use artic silver 5 will help but wont bring the temp down a a decent temp like 35*c

what cpu is it? :o

Answer #3

Probably a bit higher than normal. I dont know much about laptops, but with desktop PC’s if you want to lower your cpu temps you can go about it in a couple of ways: -Increasing air flow throughout case- done by adding more intake case fans -Using a higher quality thermal compound between your CPU chip and the HSF -Installing an aftermarket HSF

The last is the best method, although, im not sure if any of these will work for your laptop sorry, im really not very knowledgeable when it comes to laptops.
