How do I deal with being replaced in a band?
Ok so, I’ve been trying to deal with this for awhile now. You see a little over a year ago, I was named the lead singer in a band. I got us gigs and everything. Then in October of 09, I heard the drummer wanted a sing off. Well you see, he decided to bring in the new singer when I’m away at compition a month later. Then again another month later when I’m at yet another compition in December, and that’s when I was told I was out. It’s April, and she only showed up to one practice. Practice is every saturday. How can I deal with this?
it’s their loss really <<< just keep thinking that, and find another band, or start your own :) it’s not the only band in the world now, is it? :) it’s ok, life goes on… you’ll get other chances… and if you “do” get the chance to go back to your band, get back to them, and make new stuff, improve, make them feel how important you were in the band… though I think it’d be so cool to start your own band or something like that.
