How do I convince my parents to let me get my belly button pierced?

Ok, I really want my belly button pierced, but my mom and dad are like “NO WAY” about it. How do I convince them? btw I’m 14 I don’t get what there problem is? Should I just get it without telling them? or what? Help please.

at 14 your body is still growing so you need to realise that by the time your around 17 it will be half grown out and just dangle there and it wont look anywere near as “attractive” as you thought it did back then so if you want it, its best to wait a bit longer and dont get it done without them knowing most profesional peircing places wont even allow you to get it done without a parent to be there to consent to it and you cant hide it forever either, sooner or later they will find out and when they do, youll have to work really hard to gain back there trust that you lost also talk to them about it, get there feelings on it but as I said, you are young its not a fashion accessory, its a hole in your skin once put there, taking it out will leave a scar and the longer you have it in, the less likley the hole will be able to close up when you take it out theres a lot more to think about than just “I want one it looks cool”

you are 14 way to young to get your belly botton peirced,,but if you want it your way go sneek it,,,thats your own problem

Answer #3

Ask them why. Don’t get it without telling them, that will just make it worse and betray their trust. Be patient and talk with them about it. Ask them when you can get it.
