How do I convince my parents?

Im 13 and my parents are way too overprotevtive! How do I convince them im old enough to make my own decisions??? For sometime now I have been emo and I can’t convince my parents that I am emo and that im old enough to make my own mistakes and to learn from them! Help me!!!

Answer #1

^^ the only reason they want to protect you are becaue they love you. And 13 is deff not old enought to make your own decisions. im 15, not much older and cant.

Answer #2

You aren’t! At 13-years-old you aren’t mature enough to make your own decisions - when you become an adult, thats when you are able to do so. Until then you’ll have to listen to your parents and you’ll realize they do those things because they love you.

HOW DO I CONVINCE THEM IM OLD ENOUGH TO MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS???

um, excuse me, but I thought you said you were 13.. that’s not old enough to make your own decisions. unless you live on your own and pay your own bills, you are under the reigns of mom and dad. it’s the way of life, get over it. and as for the “emo” part, labels are stupid.

Answer #4

u are old enough 2 make certian dissions you r not a baby and you have a workn brain. but others no

Answer #5

I have no idea! sorry!

Answer #6

you:re not..plain and simple… I’m turning 21 soon, I;ve been on my own since 17 and I STILL had to deal with my parents. and you know what…they were right most of the friggin time. fight as I might, I still came to realize, a few days,a few months or a few years down the road that they were right. I still did my own thing, because I was hellbent on learning through my own mistakes. haha im kicking my self in the butt but some things im glad I did… seriously…simmer down with that, while they might need to give you some ROOM to think for yourself you are not ready to launch headlong into making your own dicisions. want to make your own decisions, get a job, move out, pay your own bills, pay for your college…this s**it is not fun…trust me, I wish to hell I was still 16!!!
