how do I become a faster drummer?

I’ve been drumming for about a year and 5 months, and personally I think im awesome for only drumming for about a year and a 1/2, but im not reall good at speed, can any one out there give me tips on how to get faster, with my hands and my feet.?

get a metronome and turn it to 16th beats and try to tap along with the beat and just go as fast as you can I been in percusion for 4years and I kinda know what im talking adout so yea

go to a sporting goods store and get some wrists and leg weights

and drum for a while with the weights on

it helped me with speed

get a metronome and do quarder notes and then 8th notes then 16th notes and as far as you can go and then just tap to the beat I leared that way be cause I’ve been in percusion for adout 4 years turning in to 5 so yeah

You need to develop technique. Your best bet is to take some lessons from an awsome drummer and practice your arse off. If you want to feel really bad watch a video of Buddy Rich playing.
