How do all europeans hate americans?
I’ve been in switzerland and I just went to germany and I’m getting the stink eye Im not some fat abnoxious american either hahah well im a little obnoxious but wutev im almost 15
Not all europeans hate americans. But most of them strongly dislike the average stereotypical american, who are loud, lazy, obnoxious, insolent, arrogant, prudes. These are the same americans who go to a foreign country and go to McDonalds instead of trying out the local food. Of course, its all based on first impressions, some will give you a chance to prove yourself, some are just as bad as the stereotypical american.
But they do have a point when disliking us about our President, when he gets elected and makes such poor decisions about foreign policy without major public backlash by the majority of the population.
They don’t - you’ve bought into the sound-bite lies - most remember what America did for them in the past, still do, and are forever grateful - check with the Leaders of Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom, etc, they’re pro-American and have stated so.
Most Europeans don’t hate Americans. You just need to talk to people that still remember the times of World War 2 and so forth.
cause americans think that there better then in the rest of the world evan though its unconcience the rest of the world notices it
When you add a national leader that manhandles female heads of state, a foreign policy that only rights injustices in countries with oil reserves (and badly, at that), and a populace that swaggers with arrogance despite being some of the most uneducated, unhealthy, murderous rednecks in the free world, I think it’s frankly amazing Americans aren’t simply turned away at airports.
When I lived in Europe, I found that every time a car drove by that threw trash on the road, it was americans. Every time I was eating at a restaurant and there was a table of people talking so loudly that you couldn’t hear your friends, it was americans. Every time I heard LOUD complaining about ANYTHING, it was americans. Not every American is rude, loud and obnoxious but many are and the europeans tend to grow VERY tired of the attitude. And this doesn’t even cover the attitude of our politicians…
Try this as an experiment when you travel in Europe: For a while, tell people you’re Canadian and see how they treat you. I think you’ll find Europeans will accept you more as a fellow member of the planet Earth, rather than as someone who thinks he owns the planet.
Probably something to do with World War 2.. It always is basically :[ But I’m part of Europe & I like Americans :]
Ah…no. simple answer. Yes, I will agree that is appears that American’s in europe are the loud and dominating ones…travel south just a bit, like Italy. Now look who is loud.
Perhaps the Americans that are educated, speak other languages (or try) and are aware of the environment are not the ones you “See”, nor do any other persons of the native country.
I can tell you that I have been to Europe over 10 times…I have yet to be called an American. They always think I am from some other country, just not sure where.
What is a more accurate question is do Europeans understand Americans? That would be NO. They live in a different society, where the basics are taken care of. Americans have the survival instinct. If they do not make it, they do not eat. It is a different society and a different rule system. Those who work the hardest rise to the top, but they tend to be obsessed with work and pushing the envelope. Those are the ones who can afford to go to Europe.
The average American, is not in that economic category. Not that they could not be (that is beauty of the USA), but that they choose not to work so hard or push themselves to get an higher education…education costs money, unlike the reality of our European counter-parts.
The USA is the land of complete opposites. Extreme wealth or Extreme poverty. We are fearfully independent . We do not go along. We demand our right to think for ourselves.
If you really want to understand. Look at this article. It more truly answers the question:
