How did my neice come out with brown eyes?

My neice has brown eyes. How is this possible when every one in the family has blue or green. His mom has Blue and his dad has green. HOW did this happen? lol

Actually, brown is a dominant gene…therefore, if one of the grand parents or even one of the great parents had brown eyes, they can pop up in future generations…

Genetics is a pretty complicated thing. Chances are one of the child’s parents has a recessive trait that produced a brown eyed child. My parents have green and brown eyes and they produced one green eyed child, one brown eyed child and one with blue eyes. How did that happen? Both of my parents have at least one blue eyed parent and carried the ability to produce blue eyed children regardless of their own eye color.
