How Did Jeff Buckley Die? Suicide or Not?

Does anyone know if Jeff Buckley drowned by committing suicide ? or was it completley accidental.. because in some of his songs he says something relating to him dreaming about his death by drowning.. was it suicide or was it a tragic accident that still is a great loss to the world and always will be .

nobody knows EXACTLY. they couldn’t get any solid information that leaned towards suicide, so they’re assuming it was an accidental drowning and that’s what they have on record, but others aren’t so sure.

It was in fact reported to be an accidental drowning. He was drinking with a friend, in celebration of nearly finishing recording his last record– and although the details are hazy (because of drunkenness!), he chose to swim in the Mississippi River with his clothes on and drowned.
