How did hezbollah

How did hezbollah win against israel?

Answer #1

So, are you telling me that Hizbullah wants its people dead? If your theory was right, this would raise many question marks about why Hizbullah is that popular in Lebanon.

When you lose so many civilians every time you are hit with bombs, doesn’t that simply mean you are slowly losing the war??

As for Iraq, I don’t understand how your men HAPPEN to be in the way? You mean that Americans are only killed in the middle of Iraqi-Iraqi action? If this is correct, why don’t the American boys just hide and let the Iraqis finish it all?

I dunno, Hivetyrant, but we seem to have two completely different points of view. I respect yours anyway, but, my friend, you can’t judge things in the Middle East when you are thousands of kilometres away. It’s not quite easy for you to imagine the way things go here. Until America gets out of Iraq and Afghanistan, the American wounds here will keep bleeding. You can’t have peace with me when I am inside your bedroom teaching your kids how to behave. You first have to kick me out of your place, then negotiations may or may not start. When the Iraqis and Palestinians get their places back, talking about peace will certainly mean something.

—When the Iraqis and Palestinians get their places back, talking about peace will certainly mean something. —

See, that’s the problem. The Palestinians want what’s not theirs.

Hizbulla is so popular because most radical Islamists want a Jewish Israel wiped out for eternity. And frankly, most of Lebanon has very deep Fundamentalist roots. You know how I know this? Because 50 years ago, the country was predominately Christian, and most of those citizens have either escaped the country or are now dead.

In Iraq, civilians are killed regardless if there are US soldiers in the vicinity or not. Over here in the US, the only time we hear of killings on the mainstream news networks is if US or its allies are involved in a fire fight, and generally with a criticizing air behind it. They don’t bother to report that some village unoccupied by foreign forces came under attack, and that several people were killed. They don’t hear about how this was happening even when Saddam was in power, that this was going on, or that he was occasionally the cause of it himself. The various middle eastern tribes have been killing each other for millenia, and whether or not the US is involved has never affected this.

—You first have to kick me out of your place, then negotiations may or may not start.—

And you see, my money is on the WILL NOT. So long as a faction believes itself to be right, or superior, it will try to overlord a relationship. I know this because this is how the United States and those it had and has to deal with is. But the United States is not a fundamentally religious nation, with individuals in power who would murder and slaughter the followers of another ideology if it believed there would be no consequences.

While we may seem meddlesome, and while we sometimes go about things the wrong way, we are trying to help in cleaning up the messes in the world. Korea, Vietnam(really screwed up there), Kosovo, and many others. How do we know that if we completely evacuated the Middle-East that there wouldn’t be another “7 days War”? And what if this time, Israel becomes desperate enough to actually use its nukes? They have the power to destroy a good portion of the Middle-East, and if they are not left alone, I very much beleivet that they will.

Well, it is a matter of opinion if the won or not.

But, world opinion will often go against Israel for using ‘excessive force’ against their ‘enemies’.

Preasure is usually put on Israel from other countries for them to stop the fighting.

That excessive force really isn’t excessive. It’s just that Israel’s enemies have learned to position their troops and artillery positions among civilian centers. So when Israel takes a hit, they lose 3,4 soldiers. But when the people their bombarding get hit, they lose the 3-4 soldiers while simultaneously 20-30 civilians are killed.

In fact, it’s pretty much the reverse situation in Iraq. The insurgents are as often trying to kill civilians as they are troops, and our men just happen to be in the way.
