How come when criminals do something, they lie to the police?
How come when criminals do something, they lye to the police? Are they too scared to admit their mistakes? Or what? Just wondering. If I had my way, I’d tell the police the truth. I might feel just as guilty about telling them as much as the criminals would be but, they should at least tell the police the truth. Your thoughts and opinions.
Honesty really is the best policy, usually they tend to go lighter or just a warning - for sure never lie to the FBI - that’s serious and they’ll find out anyway.
honesty, best policy sure. however, if you did 3 things, and the cops bust you for one, I doubt most people would say “I’ll be honest” I did so and so that you don’t even know about. your honest could have just landed you an extra 20 years, don’t you think?
they lie because they think if they lie their going to changes the minds of the police to think that they neve did a crime
Most criminals think they either have no choice or that they are smart enough to fool the police. Most of the time something does trip them up.
In reality the best thing would be not to tell the police anything. It is the job of police to prove suspects are guilty, not for the suspects to prove themselves innocent. Anything you can can and will be used against you.
Even if you are innocent it is often in your best interest not to talk to the police. Any information you give them can be used to build a circumstantial case against you. There are a lot of innocent people in prison.
Because they are probably to drunk or high to know what the hll they are doing, And trust me the cops are dumb and this would not be the first person tring to pull on over on them, I love watching cops. One stupid drunk tried to do a back flip and ended up landing on his head, stupid sht. Another on picked up the orange cone on the road and was yelling into it like a megaphone, Now who looks like the idiot, Hey I got some good laughs out of that show.
I don’t know. probley to try to get out of as much trouble as they can
people will lie to escape the sentence, some lie work, some dont
