Answer #1

well yeah but ex that in Jewish calendar is 5770 I think so it’ll be 5771 after Rosh Hashanah so wouldn’t that means that its a hole brand new year…?? or the year actually start on Nissan? if so why its call it the NEW year?

Answer #2

The “first month” of the Jewish calendar is the month of Nissan, in the spring, when Passover occurs. The Jewish New Year is in Tishri, the seventh month, and that is when the year number is increased. The year has different starting points for different things.

The American “new year” starts in January, but the new “school year” starts in September, and many businesses have “fiscal years” that start at various times of the year.

The Jewish calendar has different starting points for different purposes.

Answer #3

Rosh Hashanah is the “new year” for people, animals and legal contracts. There are four times each year that the world is judged. Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah and the Feast of Tabernacles. The fact Rosh Hashanah is in the 7th month means nothing…you are comparing it to the idea of a new year being the actual start of a new year. That has nothing to do with jewish law.
