How come my webcam closes itself down ?

When I go on webcam it has started just cancelling itself so I am unable to go on webcam to my friends does anyone know why and how I can sort this please thanks

might be a clash with the driver and OS. check reinstalling the driver for the webcam.

go into device manager and make sure ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ is unticked..

start - run - (copy & paste this) devmgmt.msc (and click ok)
