How come my hamster is peeing blood?

My hamster fell off the table and he started to walk strangely. Then he started urinating blood. every few minutes he would keep urinating blood. he’s still kind of active but after a while he fell asleep. What should I do? Is this serious?

Answer #1

Dear, oreo,

you need to take your hamster to the vet ASAP! He/she could be bleeding internally! Blood is never good!!

Answer #2

you need to take him to the vet now! there may be more wrong with him then you know.

Answer #3

Why on earth are you wasting time asking strangers on the internet when your animal is obviously in great pain and possibly busy dying?

TAKE HIM TO A VET NOW. It’s animal abuse to let an animal suffer. If you can’t afford a vet take him to the SPCA.

Answer #4

My hamster wasn’t eating, so I took her to the vet. Vet thought her back molars were too long, so she put her under anesthesia to clip them. When under anesthesia, she peed blood on the vet tech :( Vet said bladder or kidney infection, and she’s on itty bitty hamster antibiotics. It’s been a few days and I woke up to an empty food bowl :) she must be feeling better!
