How can you tell where an e-mail came from

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I can tell if an e-mail came from one’s home computer or someone else’s. I have a friend who’s sister uses her computer from time to time and I want to know if she was at her sisters at a certain point in time. I am pretty sure it’s under properties, but other than that, can you help?

Answer #1

No, not that kind of “from”. I was looking more in depth as to what computer it came from, not the sender. Thanks for answering so quick tho!

Answer #2

no, unless you know you’re sister’s computers IP address, and that hasn’t been masked at some point, you wont be able to tell what computer it came from. This is done on purpose, for obvious privacy and security reasons.

Answer #3
