How can you lose weight after having anorexia?

Ok so this is hard for me to say, but anyway. I used to be anorexic. Now im back to my normal weight, but I hate it so much. Everyday I look at myself and I hate what I look like. How can I lose weight the healthy way to get back to where I was. And to never gain it back. Please help, you have no idea how hard it is. Thanks:)

I guess the key word you need to look at is “ your normal weight” that is where you are at, and you are healthy. anorexia is more than a physical disorder, it is a mental disorder as well- you need to start working on accepting yourself at your normal weight- and directing your mind to accept this- basically working on your self esteem. you need to acknowledge where your feelings of self loathing are emerging from, and get rid of that part of your thoughts, and accept you are now healthy physically, living with that and bringing your self image in line with that. start looking in the mirror and telling yourself you are happy with who you are, and focusing on the positive- all of your hidden gifts, instead of looking at yourself in a negative fashion. it will be extremely difficult, and you may find yourself slipping back into the anorexic mindset- but you can fight it, and eventually completely overcome it enough to lead a satisfying and healthy life.

why would you want to lose weight again? the whole point was to get beter and to get back to your normal weight wasnt it? I think you should just stay the weight you are, im sure you are already very thin.

it sounds like you still havent fully recovered from this iillness you look fine, there nothing wrong with your weight however over 50% of the worls population still arnt happy with theres you need to talk with someone ansd tell them how you feel but you also need to take a good look at your body, and learn to love it its yours, time to start taking care of it and loving yourself for who you are its whats on the inside that counts anyway
