How can we reply/comment to an answer?

Is there any way to reply or make a comment on an answer, other than sending private FunMail or profile comments? Some Q&A sites have facility where you ask a Q, someone answers and you (or anybody else) can then come along and make comment on the bottom of the answers. Or how to say thanks for answering (or is this not expected here?)

just type it again in the answer box this place doesnt have a comment to this answer box sorry

This is just a guess. I think that if FunAdvice had that feature, users that want an answer to a very important question, they don’t want a rude comment added onto an answer. Think of it like this, if you got a good answer and someone else didn’t like it, they can just comment that persons answer with something rude which will start a big fuss.

I don’t think anybody would want that.
