how can people notice my good singing?

I am really good at singing and wanted to know where to start as far as getting noticed would go?

It’s really hard to make it in the music industry. I have a friend that’s been his best to get noticed that I’ve helped along the way. He’s made some progress ,but it hasn’t been easy and he’s not where he want to be yet.

One location is key, he moved from Chicago to L.A. where there were more opprtunities. Just like you’ve going there, others are to. So you have to stand apart.

Second, have a press kit made with photos (professionals), a quick bio, demo and contact card.

Thrid, you have to put yourself out there and go to different open mic nights that are available around town or talent shows. You’ll be surprised who might be in the crowd.

Fourth and most important is making contacts in the industry. Knowing producers, managers, band players that know the game. Warning though, becareful because everybody that may seem to be helpful are not always looking out for you. Never give money up front to anybody, if you do its usually a scam.

Hope that helps a little bit.

Try joining local choirs and music groups, and start singing lessons if you can. Some music schools hold concerts, like mine :). If you can, go to music festivals where busking is allowed, and try that out. Then there’s the easy way to get noticed; audition on American/Australian idol, or talent shows of the like. You could also put videos on YouTube or other video hosting websites.
