How / can my eye doctor give me colored contacts ?

I’m going to an anime convention in July , I’m cosplaying as Sheik from The Legend Of Zelda . He has red eyes , so I’m going to need colored contacts , if I ask my eye doctor , can he give me a pair to wear for 1 day ?

likely, the contact lenses that you can get temporarily are NOT going to be comfortable. They’ll itch, they’ll dry your eyes out, or even hurt. But if you don’t want to be totally miserable wearing them, you can get good colored contacts from your eye doctor with your prescription. The thing is, they go for around fifty dollars a pair. So it’s up to you on how much you want to spend.

You could ask, but I don’t think he’d let you return them. I’d say you should either buy them (then you have a pair of red contacts for whenever the occasion calls for it) or just omit them. I’m sure most people would understand if you are missing one detail on your costume.

no doctors only sell presciption contacs meaning ones for people who actually have bad eyesite if you want cosmetic ones, purely to temporarily change your eye colour they can be bought at other places some pharmacys might have them

if you use glasses they might because my sister needs glasses and they gave her hazeled contacts for her party, but if you don’t use glasses you can try to find them at a store or something, they sell them everywhere now and days :]
